IT'S WINTER!!!

7 days away from Thanksgiving.....YEEESSS!!! I can't wait to eat all those good foods. Along with the food and holidays winter also comes with a lot of dehydration in your skin and hair. So the key is to moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize to keep your hair and skin looking radiant. Here are a few home remedies to try to help you through the winter months.

HAIR

To make your hair stronger this winter use avocado and honey to moisturize.

Combine 1 can of coconut milk (gives hair shine),  1 mashed avocado and 1/2 cup honey.
Slather the mixture on dry hair, focus on the ends too. Top with a plastic bag or shower cap.
Blast hair with heat for 5 minutes and then let mixture sit for 30 minutes.
Rinse well  but DO NOT shampoo. Style as usual.

Skin

To brighten and hydrate skin this winter use banana, papaya and coconut water.

Combine 3 tablespoons mashed papaya with 2 tablespoons, 2 tablespoons milk, 1 tablespoon coconut water and 1 tablespoon yogurt.
Stir the mixture until it forms a thick consistency, then chill in the refrigerator for one hour.
Smooth mask onto clean skin.
Wait 5 to 10, then rinse with cool water.
