2011 is just around the corner and with a new year comes new resolutions. Just a few tips so that your resolutions wont over whelm you and you have a great 2011.
1) Aim low.
It might sound simple but a lot of people have goals they may never reach and then they become discouraged.
If you want to lose weight start low... maybe 5 lbs a month or 20 lbs by June.
This way with a goal so small you have a better chance of achieving it and it will motivate you to continue on.
2) Try one goal.
I read this article about a guy who only has one goal for the whole year. That way all his energy and focus went into achieving that goal.
3) Choose the top five.
If you insist on having more then one goal, only choose the five most important. Then put them in order of importance with number one being your top goal to achieve in the new year. Studies have shown that the human brain stops working at it's full potential when it has more then five things going at one time
4) Understand the reasons for your goals
Losing weight to please some one else is not a good reason!
Remember goals are meant for you to fulfill your full potential, who cares what others think.
If you want to lose weight do it for yourself. If you want better grades do it for you and not to make your mom happy. That the only way to achieve the life you want.
5) Achieve your goals!
You choose them for a reason now work hard to OBTAIN them.
