The Pendent

Finally mine! I had been wanting to make this pendent for about two years now when I found the tiger eye piece in my grandmas jewelery box but never had the funds to do so. So I saved my Christmas money this year and went to the jewelers and had it made. I originally wanted him to drill a whole in the top and but a jump ring through it but the jeweler thought it was to delicate and didn't want to chance it breaking. Instead, he intertwined gold wire and made a beautiful piece. I was so in love when he showed it to. Unfortunately, after paying to have it made funds ran low again so I had to wait to buy a chain that would compliment it. Two weeks ago I saved the money that my aunt gave me to spend on vacation and bought a simple, gold chain at Kohls department store that did compliment the pendent.

I chose to have this piece made into a necklace because I thought the tiger eye stone was simplely breath taking. It has natural earth tones that enhance any brown skin and I loved how it looked against mine. The name also makes me think of power oddly. I also liked the size of this piece. Small but still made a big statement while possessing feminine qualities. I wanted a necklace that I could wear with everything and never have to take off and I knew this piece could be that. Later, I found this description attached to another tiger eye necklace in a museum gift shop. Being a creative and artistic persons it made me want to have my necklace made even more.

I am totally satisfied with the work of the jeweler and will have no problem going back to him if I need other work done. So far I haven't taken of this necklace and I never plan on it.
